Overview

I am an embedded software and systems engineer with more than 20 years accumulated experience in the industry,

Starting in 1996, and up until 2006, I worked in the commerical aerospace sector developing saftey critical software in accordance with process standards and guidelines developed by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in conjunction with industry, as well as with corporate policies and procedures of several major international corporations.

In addition to my work with embedded systems, I claim background and experience in each of the following areas:

user interface design and development, including GUI, CLI, and text-menu-driven human-computer interfaces
network based application programming, including "web application" development
TCP/IP network design, including mobile, aircraft, and adhoc networks
system administration and network administration (Tier 3)

The current document contains the same XML as the previous one, but with an HTML file extension. I changed this because some web clients apparenlty still do not correctly handle the text/html MIME Content-type. [see MIME Media Types from IANA for a complete and definitive list, as well as additional information]

I am currently available for work.

I am a US Citizen by birth.

I am currently located in Phenix City, Alabama (about 120 miles southeast of Atlanta, GA).

While the bulk of my experience over the last two decades has been as a contractor (W2) for various engineering staffing agencies. I remain interested in of opportunities of all sorts.

A Note about Document Formats

A note to recruiters and HR staffers: Please do not email me demanding "a Word format resume ASAP!!" - I do not own a license for MS Word, and have found the non-Microsoft tools for manipulating Word documents to be less-than-adequate.
